So I am finally planning to pencil in some time each week to post some stuff, even if it’s just random updates and news… And I would also like to dabble in some more indie reviews soon as well, but my work/home balance is insane!!
One of the things I wanted to share is actually from a few months ago and I never got around to posting it, but it’s so cool I can’t not share it with you. A really good childhood friend of mine requested my books from her local library a while back and they agreed to purchase them, which in and of itself was incredible. So when the new cover for Harvest Moon came out, I gave her a signed copy for them to replace the original with and recently she sent me this photo!!
I also wanted to share some up close photos of the awesome wrist bands Judy Davison designed for me to offer up as swag at my signings. I took all these awesome pictures and then never posted anything…are you seeing the same pattern here as I am?? Well, we definitely need to change that, starting…. NOW!!
In other exciting news, Dark Moon (A Harvest Series Novella) and Full Moon, the final installment of The Harvest Series, are well under way. The time frame I was hoping for will not happen, but I promise it’ll be well worth the wait to see how Lexie and Angela’s store started and ends. As you may or may not have noticed, the title for the novella changed a bit, from Dark Matter to Dark Moon. Thanks to my sweet and darling hubby who suggested that while Dark Matter made sense to him, because he knew the WHOLE story, I should really stay with the moon theme. Sooo, I went back to drawing board and began researching… yes I researched rather than just calling it Dark Moon. As with all my titles, theres meaning behind them and I want the title to fit, which is why when he gave me his opinion I didn’t hesitate. And here is what I found.
A dark moon, otherwise known as a balsamic moon… (yeah, there was no well in hell I was naming my book after a salad dressing…) signifies the bridge between the past and the future! When I read this line I knew I was set out on this path to research a better title for a reason. Dark Moon IS the bridge between the past and the future. It lays the foundation for all of the pain and torment Lexie and Angela endured and also will be what sets them free…. Eek, I can hardly wait to share it with you all.
Stay tuned for an excerpt of Dark Moon, later this week…
In non- Harvest Series related news… I am patiently anticipating the release of Crossroads. (I am sorry to those of you who won copies of this in a giveaway this past fall. I promise to compensate you once Crossroads is officially released!) I am still torn; however, because my lovely editor truly feels this book should not go Indie. I love this story and the format and hopefully I can write similar books after The Harvest Series is completed. Read here for a synopsis of Crossroads.
Stay tuned for a excerpt of Crossroads, coming later this week…
